MAGIC BLADE is the musical world-building project of British composer and producer Daniel Suett — music and sound worlds built for writers, filmmakers and storytellers across disciplines.

Drawing on a background in electronica and guided by imaginative immersion, fantasy, science fiction, nature and dance, Daniel's work spans film, television, immersive installation and live performance. Shortly after graduating from Leeds College of Music in 2013, he was selected by film composer Hans Zimmer from more than 6,000 entries to join the newly formed Bleeding Fingers Music collective in Santa Monica, where he developed a deep affinity for narrative-driven composition writing for nature programming on National Geographic, Discovery and the History Channel. His music has since appeared on ABC, Amazon, BBC, ITV, MTV and Netflix, earning both a London Music Award and an ASCAP Award for his work on The Curse of Oak Island.

More recently, Daniel contributed to the soundtracks for Ron Howard's Thirteen Lives and Simon McQuoid's Mortal Kombat, created experiential installations for Ferrari and SeaWorld, and scored Wade Jackson's Persona.

He lives in the forests of Southern California with his wife and is currently working on a symphonic concert piece. Outside the studio he can usually be found running, reading, and enjoying a good whiskey — occasionally all at once.
