...music for storytellers...

MAGIC BLADE is a musical world‑building project by award-winning composer and producer Daniel Suett, serving writers, filmmakers and storytellers across disciplines.

After being selected by Hans Zimmer from more than 6000 entries to join the newly-formed Bleeding Fingers Music composer collective in Santa Monica, Daniel discovered a deep affinity for narrative-driven music while composing for nature programming on National Geographic, Discovery and the History Channel. His music has also been featured on programming for BBC, ITV, ABC, MTV, Netflix and Amazon, winning both a London Music Award and an ASCAP Award for his work on The Curse of Oak Island.

More recently, Daniel contributed to the soundtracks of Ron Howard’s Thirteen Lives and Simon McQuoid’s Mortal Kombat both composed by Benjamin Wallfisch, and composed the score for Wade Jackson’s Persona.

Drawing on a background in electronica and guided by imaginative immersion, fantasy, science fiction, nature and dance, Daniel’s work now spans film, television, immersive installations and live performance. He lives in the forests of Southern California with his wife and is currently working on a his first symphonic concert work. Outside the studio, he can often be found running, reading, and enjoying a good whiskey — sometimes all at once.
